Return to snow?
I'm trying avoid getting too excited about the forecast for Wednesday, but even if we get a third to half of what the NWS is predicting at this point, the Otsego Nordic trails will be in great condition going into the weekend--most likely including classical tracks.
I ran the groomer over the inch or so we picked up this weekend, and all the trails except for Upper Cabin are in good shape right now--though you'd want to have your wits about you going down Driftwood...

Groomer is gassed and ready; the outlook is good for a return to full operation on the hill. Plan is to start packing Wednesday afternoon.
ReplyDeleteGrooming will begin around 5 this afternoon. Classic conditions should be excellent immediately; It will take a couple of days to get a well compacted base for skating (if anyone has a spare snowcat lying around, let me know)
